Summer is here which means fun at the beach!  As you may know, MWR has been fortunate to receive free daily use beach passes from some of the surrounding towns in the past years.  This is a very popular program so its best to get to the office earlier in the day, especially on Fridays.    Please read through, print and fill in the BEACH PASS USAGE AGREEMENT form and bring it with you when you come to pick up your pass.  You only need to do this the first time you check the pass out this summer.  Questions?  Please contact Jackie at 508-968-6689 or Nicole 508-968-6460.  Have a great summer at the beach!

CHANGES IN 2016beach pass
One big change to the program this year is where you will pick up/drop off your passes!  Monday – Friday you will pick up your passes at the new C Side Recreation Center Information Desk (formerly Crosswinds).  Hours will remain the same 9:00a – 4:00p.  On Saturdays, if any passes remain, you will now pick passes up at the Wings Inn Front Desk. Hours will be from 9:00a – 12:00p and we recommend calling to check availability.

Drop off for all passes will be at C Side Recreation Center entrance – look for the same small blue return box.

SANDWICH – We are currently in possession of 15 beach passes for the Town of Sandwich.  We will start issuing those passes on Friday June 24th as the Town will start requiring the passes on Saturday June 25th.  They are good for all Sandwich Beaches including Snake Pond.  Beach Map and Directions

BARNSTABLE – We have 10 beach passes for Barnstable.  We will start issuing those passes on Friday June 24th.  See the map for beach locations in barnstable.  Beach Map and Directions

FALMOUTH – Last year, the Town Manager made the decision to stop the free beach pass program to many groups and organizations which included to the Base.  A proposal has been set on the table to reinstate the program for the Base and the Town Selectman are scheduled to hear the matter on June 27th.  Until then, we have no answer on if we will get ANY passes from the town of Falmouth this year.  We are in contact with the Beach Superintendent and he will notify us once a decision has been made.

**UPDATE JULY 5, 2016 – Unfortunately, the Town has discontinued the daily pass program.  However,  Active Duty military stationed at Sector Woods Hole and on Joint Base Cape Cod will be able to purchase a seasonal beach sticker at the resident rate of $30 (vice non-resident rate of $200) from the Ellen T. Mitchell Building, 56 Surf Drive in Falmouth by showing their active duty ID card.  Any questions about this new policy should be directed to the Falmouth Beach Department rather than MWR.

Please note you can only check out one town pass per ID at a time.
